This LEGO train motor, wheels included, can be used to update old-fashioned 9 volt trains to the new LEGO Remote Control system, for example.  This motor is also used in LEGO sets 7898 and 7897. The motor runs on 9 volt, but can be connected to diverse Power functions using the electrical cable 8871 OR 8886.  Note! This motor is different from train motor  #590 or #5300! Those train motors have metal wheels.
